Visual Communication Certificate

Today, many employees need to have skill sets that include a variety of jobs. Companies are looking for employees who have a variety of skills. For example, many administrative employees must also create reports that have graphics, or keep web sites up to date, or prepare advertising. People who want to have skills in visual communication in addition to their existing skill set may want to consider a Visual Communication Certificate program. A visual communication certificate program will teach students a variety of skills from graphic design to desktop publishing. They will become familiar with photo editing, multimedia development, and computer and software technology needs. Students will learn practical aspects of web design, like interactive technology and video graphics. They will begin learning digital imaging and basic graphic design. Some programs will allow the credits from the certificate program to be applied to an associate’s degree. Most certificate programs will take at least six months to complete, and some programs will take up to one year. There are certificate programs available in traditional campus settings and online in orderto meet the needs of students who work or who have other obligations.
