A Bachelor in Multidisciplinary Studies is a great degree choice for students interested in obtaining a degree in either the sciences or liberal arts. Because it involves flexible coursework, students may tailor their classes according to their own interests and future employment plans. General education requirements such as English Composition, Algebra, and Government are included in a Bachelor in Multidisciplinary Studies along with areas of specialization such as finance, public administration, or technical writing which permit students to focus their attention in targeted arenas within the broader sciences and liberal arts academia. Students are expected to analyze the concepts and theories learned within this concentration and apply them conclusively. This degree requires 120 credits or approximately four years to complete. A Bachelor in Multidisciplinary Studies educates students in incorporating knowledge from at least two major disciplines of their choice, helps students to communicate more effectively, requires students to write clearly and employ critical thinking when coming up with solutions, ensures students demonstrate the ability to conduct solid research, and assists students in making more effective oral presentations. Furthermore, students will be able to distinguish different methodologies by comparing and contrasting their two disciplines of interest. A Bachelor in Multidisciplinary Studies is offered on traditional college campuses as well as online degree programs.
