The Medical Insurance Billing and Coding certificate program provides students with a solid foundation in the critical skills needed in healthcare billing and coding practices. Successful graduates will be well-prepared to enter the healthcare field in billing and coding - both physician-based and in-patient coders. Graduates of the program will be provided with technological competencies, interpersonal strategies, and understanding of the value and importance of correct billing and coding to be a successful professional in the field. They will be prepared to take the AAPC for Apprentice-level certification (CPC-A).
