The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program is a 36-credit hour program focused on the tools and methods required to run a business. Both the entrepreneur and the mid- to upper-level manager will find valuable techniques for building business in the course of study.
Students need not have a bachelor’s degree in business to apply for the MBA program. The program is open to anyone who has achieved satisfactory performance in any accredited undergraduate degree program. However, students without an undergraduate business degree will usually take a 9-credit hour Foundation of introductory business concepts.
At Bellevue University, students in the MBA program can focus in one of nine specialized areas of concentration: • accounting•acquisition and contract management• advanced programming• finance• healthcare administration• human resource management• international management• management information systems• marketing• supply chain management. Or, students may elect to take the broader-based interdisciplinary management concentration.
All students are required to take an 18-hour core covering business managerial topics such as financial strategy, applied production and operations management, organizational behavioral accounting and information systems, and marketing strategy. After that, students select a 9-hour concentration and either electives or Foundation courses to round out the required 36 credit hours.
