With an M.S. in Nursing (MSN), you can gain the knowledge, skills, and influence to affect more lives and make an even bigger difference-for your patients, your organization, and the future of health care.
R.N. Track: For Registered Nurses with a hospital diploma, Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.), or bachelor's degree (other than B.S.N.).
Learn how you can more effectively utilize information technology to enhance the quality of patient care. This specialization blends nursing science with computer and information science. Coursework focuses on such key areas as information systems, database concepts, and effective project management. Fieldwork experience provides you with the opportunity to apply your new knowledge immediately.
Applicants who have a diploma, A.D.N., or bachelor's degree in a discipline other than nursing and are registered nurses may be accepted in the M.S. in Nursing (MSN), provided they fulfill the general education requirements. Once applicants meet these requirements, they are admitted to Walden and begin taking the foundational courses. Students then progress on to the core curriculum, the specialization courses, and finally, the capstone courses.
