Holborn Diploma in Law

Our online or distance learning Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE) is the route by which graduates are able to complete the academic stage of training equivalent to LLB degree before progressing to Legal Practice Course or Bar Vocational Course.

The course will commence with a one week introductory course on the English Legal System and legal research skills. During the course you will study 7 subjects. You are also required to submit a research project on an eighth area of law.

Tuition for the seven foundation subjects will be provided primarily over the internet using the University’s Blackboard Learning Environment (“VLE”). Students will be able to either submit electronic tutorial for marking and detailed feedback or attend a face to face tutorial on Saturdays. All students will be required to participate in the discussion board activity and tutorial preparation and to show evidence of reading appropriate texts, cases, statutes, secondary legislation and journal articles, locating relevant sources by traditional and electronic methods.
