This course gives interested students an overview in geriatric care management. The program will discuss trends, issues, career options and business strategies for this fast-growing industry. Students will brainstorm potential marketing and networking concepts, and they will examine the role of a geriatric care manager. Participants will learn about public and private resources associated with this business as well as revenue and reimbursement methods. Students will also study the ins and outs of the health care system and how it deals with the elderly population.
