Graduate Certificate in Public Relations

UMUC's Graduate Public Relations Certificate provides students with solid grounding in public relations theory, legal and ethical issues confronted by practitioners, and the analytic and creative skills necessary to excel in the profession. Each of the courses addresses the impact of the explosion of Internet-enabled, networked communications that is forcing change in the manner in which corporations communicate with their varied publics.

Core coursework includes: Marketing Management, Legal and Ethical Issues in Global Communications, Public Relations Theory and Practice, Public Relations Techniques, and Crisis Management Seminar. This certificate requires 15 semester hours to complete.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Individual programs may have additional requirements.
