UMUC's Graduate Procurement and Contract Management Certificate is designed to familiarize participants with the broad concepts and strategies of procurement and contract management. Major topics include the foundations of pricing and negotiations, basic aspects of contracting, procurement of services and products, aspects of commercial transactions, logistics, and materials management.
Core coursework includes: Purchasing and Materials Management; Legal Aspects of Contracting; Contract Pricing and Negotiation; Strategic Purchasing and Logistics; and Commercial Transactions in a Technological Environment: Law, Management and Technology. This certificate requires 15 semester hours to complete.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Individual programs may have additional requirements.
