Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Management

For students who wish to specialize in IS management without completing the entire MISM degree program, a certificate option is available. Those who have been admitted must inform the center dean of their intent to pursue the certificate and are eligible to receive a graduate certificate in IS management upon: successfully completing the following management foundations course: Systems Analysis, Planning and Control; successfully completing any four of the following IS applications courses: Database Concepts, Database Applications for Electronic Commerce, Decision Support and Expert Systems, Client/Server Applications, Networking Concepts and Applications, Managing Software Development Projects, Groupware and the Internet; successfully completing any two of the following IS tools courses: COBOL Applications, CICS and CICS with DB2, Visual Basic, Advanced Visual Basic, Internet-Oriented Programming,C++ Programming, Java Programming; satisfying all certificate course prerequisites through practical experience or related coursework; achieving a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 in the courses indicated above; and resolving all financial obligations to the School.
