For students who wish to specialize in information security without completing an entire degree program, a Graduate Certificate in Information Security option is available. Those who have been admitted must inform the center director of their intent to pursue the certificate and are eligible to receive a graduate certificate in information security upon: successfully completing: Principles of Information Security and Privacy, Network Security, Cryptography and Security Mechanisms, Practices for Administration of Physical and Operations Security, Security in Systems Architecture and Applications, Disaster Recovery/ Forensics and Security and Enterprise Security; satisfying all certificate course prerequisites through practical experience or related coursework; achieving a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 in the courses indicated above; and resolving all financial obligations to the School.
