Disaster Management Certificate

Over the past several decades, the need for high professional standards in the disaster management community has grown exponentially, especially in the United States.

Disasters such as the recent flooding in the heartlands, the tragic failures of Hurricane Katrina, wildfires in California, the deadly Myanmar cyclone, and startling earthquakes in China (just to name a few) have reaffirmed the need for professionals who have the real, unfaltering skills required to be effective responders to disasters.

Benedictine University’s Disaster Management Certificate is designed for the widest spectrum of emergency response professionals including government officials, law enforcement, emergency services, public health, and other healthcare professionals.

If you are an emergency responder, our curriculum will prepare you for multiple phases of disaster management including mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
