A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance is a four-year degree program that educates students who are interested in business concepts and practices as well as finance. This curriculum focuses on teaching students how to manage and perform financial analysis, understand the implications of international financial markets, manage intricate accounting reviews that require auditing and analysis, conduct risk assessments, make strategic recommendations, and come up with financial plans for new business ventures. Students will be educated in financial concepts that are a part of corporations’ financial activities and they will apply theoretical business principles in real world situations. This specialization provides students with many employment opportunities upon graduation such as working in banking, public or private corporations either in investment groups or finance, or investments. Students will need to understand broad business concepts in addition to being detail-oriented. Effective problem solving skills and overcoming challenges is required of students and these activities will further their critical thinking abilities. Strong communication is imperative and students will interact with peers, faculty, and others in business communities. Professionalism and ethics are stressed, also. Students will employ technology and simulation software to aid them in assessing business and financial threats.
