In the economy of the last few years, people know that a move up the corporate ladder isn’t likely to happen without a college degree. Many people may have an idea that they want to work in a corporate setting and become a businessperson, but they aren’t sure what area they want to specialize in. If they know they want to work in a corporate or business setting, but aren’t sure what sector, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration may be the degree to seek. While many business administration programs offer specialized areas of study, others offer a more general, and therefore more flexible, approach. Students will cover a very wide array of information in a business administration program, including fundamentals of accounting, sales and marketing, and human resources management. Some programs also offer students the opportunity to participate in an internship program in the latter part of their degree program. An internship may help students to make a decision about a particular direction they are interested in. Students who complete a business administration degree will work to analyze and understand business problems and solutions. Upon completion of their business administration degree, graduates may be ready to seek out entry-level jobs in the corporate world in a number of career settings.
