Bachelor of Arts in Org Mgmt-Engineering Studies

The field of engineering and engineering management is a very demanding and exciting area. Students who have previous credits in engineering studies, but who don’t want to complete an engineering degree may be able to combine their engineering studies credits to complete a bachelor of arts in organizational management with a concentration in engineering studies. To qualify for a concentration, students must have at least 4 classes or 12 hours in an approved subject area such as engineering studies. Students will then go on to complete a challenging and rewarding program in organizational management, which will give them training in analyzing organizations, processes and resources in a variety of environments. With a background in engineering studies and the completion of an organizational management degree, graduates will be well equipped to pursue a career with companies creating improvement and efficiency plans, project management implementation, and human resources management. Graduates will not be limited to working in the engineering field, but may also work for companies in construction and for companies that complete government contracts on a variety of projects. The main goal of an organizational manager is to be able to analyze a given project, process, or resource, and figure out a way to make it more efficient while serving the needs of employees and employers alike.
