This certifcation qualifies you to work with children from birth through age eight and to work in environments where certification is required. Choose to earn your degree online, on campus or combine your online courses with campus instruction. Choose one of two concentrations - Infants and Toddlers or Special Education. By concentrating in Special Education, and completing the required coursework, you will be able to apply for an Early Childhood Special Education approval on your certification. While this certificate is specific to Illinois, it is similar to the requirements in other states. Students should check with their own state department of education to see what licensure is required. Must have an Associate’s degree or some college credits to enter this program.
