The Early Childhood Development program focuses on cross-disciplinary coursework in human development, education and early childhood. The program includes both theoretical and practical applications as you explore the cultural and social influences of the family and the community in the holistic development of young children. Students with degrees in early childhood development enter varying fields related to early childhood, including teaching at the pre-school or elementary level, becoming school counselors or administrators, developing childcare programs, serving as child advocates, or working in social services or health care facilities. Applicants must have at least 12 transferrable baccalaureate-level credits (or the equivalent) from an accredited college or university and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in all prior college-level coursework.
