Associate of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design

Interior architecture and design is the application of visual arts study to the design and architecture of interior and exterior spaces in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. A two-year associate of arts in Interior Architecture and Design will help prepare students for jobs in design firms in entry level positions. In an Associate of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design degree program, students will be introduced to the latest techniques and technology in the field, including computer graphics and traditional art techniques. Students will also be challenged with design projects of their own, both individually and in teams, to showcase their growing talent. Students will work with both interior and exterior spaces to create functional and aesthetically pleasing areas through the use of spatial elements, color, lighting, and materials. Students who are interested in becoming certified interior designers can jump start their careers with an associate of arts in Interior Architecture and Design. Additionally, an associate of arts in Interior Architecture and Design prepares students for further education at the Bachelor or Bachelor of Fine Arts level in Interior Architecture and Design.
