There is no question that people who are educated in computer and information technology will be in high demand by employers. People who know and understand Information Technology, combined with an understanding of visual communication principles, will be able to seek jobs in a variety of industries, including advertising, web development, and virtually any industry that needs to communicate an idea visually using technology. Since technology is changing rapidly on a daily basis, employers want to hire people who are highly trained and educated in the latest technology trends, and who know how to incorporate those trends to get their message across. An Associate of Arts in Information Technology/Visual Communication will give students a high level of training in programming, web design and development, digital visual communication, multimedia concepts and theories, and more. Students who complete an Associate of Arts in Information Technology/Visual Communication will receive hands-on training with programming and design, with specialized courses in visual digital communication. They will learn HTML and other program languages, web design, content management and more. During the course of the program, students may also have the chance to create samples of Information Technology/Visual Communication design work for their portfolio.
