Associate General Business

If you know that you want to pursue a career in business but you are not sure if you want to be in marketing, finance or accounting, than earning pursuing an Associate degree in General Business might help to give you the information you need to make a decision. This is a degree that is designed to cover all of the basic foundations of business such as those mentioned above. This may also be a good degree for someone who either already owns their own business or would like to start their own business in the future. In addition, depending on the school, this may be a good choice in degrees for students who will most likely continue on to pursue their Bachelor’s degree as they may be able to begin as a junior.

The curriculum for the two year general business associate degree includes general education requirements such as math, science and English. Then most colleges require that students take a few classes in the basics of business administration. This might include courses that cover economics, finance and accounting principles. Management topics will probably also be covered; examples of discussion items might be different management styles and ways to motivate your team. In addition, marketing, sales and advertising might also be covered.
