Acquisition & Contract Mgmt Bachelor's

An Acquisition and Contract Management Bachelor’s degree may be great preparation for a variety of business professions, including those that deal with purchasing and vendor relationships and those that manage government contracts. This all depends on the school and degree program that you decide on. For instance, a degree that focuses on purchasing and acquisition will probably include courses with instruction on vendor relationships and the supply chain. On the other hand, a degree that is being molded to a career in contract management might focus more on the ins and outs of contracting with local and federal governments.

For the full time student it will probably take at least four years to complete an acquisition and contract management bachelor’s degree. Those with other responsibilities, however, may find that it takes five to six years to complete the program. You may be able to find a school that offers this program online, which might make it more convenient to complete in a shorter amount of time. Learning outcomes established by the college may include the ability to research acquisition and contract management issues on the internet and effective communication skills specific to roles within an acquisition and contract management environment.
