An associate of business administration in accounting is a two year degree program that includes an emphasis in the following topics: finance, accounting principles, economics, administration, human resources management, and business management. Students may develop skills that will assist them in better understanding federal income tax laws, financial accounting for corporations and partnerships, and cost and payroll accounting. When acquiring an associate of business administration in accounting, students study business organizational techniques, business software applications, and business ethics and law. Accounting studies, as well as general education classes and general business administration coursework, is taken to help students develop a firmer grasp of business administration and accounting principles.
