The information on a website needs to be presented in an organized, easy-to-understand format. Users shouldn’t have any trouble finding and locating information on a site. Upon completion of this course, students will know how to add valuable tables to your HTML pages.

Tables are another useful way to present information. Students should create a simple table and explore how to add rows and columns of information, and then they can adjust the presentation of the information using attributes in the table tags as well as in the data.

The information presented on a web page needs to be organized in an easy-to-understand format. This course will show students how to plan, create and format tables on the web.

One of the layout mechanisms that allow for consistency is a frames structure. Students will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the frames format and will come to understand that while there are more pages to present format, the independence of navigation from content is a plus.

The ultimate goal of a web page designer is to create a website, which will attract visitors.

In this course, students will be introduced to the universal design principles and explore platform issues and locate design resources.

Course Objectives

  • By the end of this course, students will know how to create web pages using HTML, implement and effectively use tables on the web page and insert graphics as links, images and backgrounds.
  • Students will create effective and meaningful links to other web pages and documents as well as a home page with a link to a resume and a web page that can act as a storefront. They will learn proper techniques in doing business on the Internet.
