This course introduces students to the special techniques and projects that come with being a project manager. Participants will learn concepts such as the definition of a project, the nature of a project team and the role and function of the project manager. The language of projects and the context in which they are conducted will also be examined as well as the people involved in the project management process. Participants will investigate practical application of project management principles and be introduced to the Project Management Body of Knowledge - the basis learning techniques to become a successful project manager.
