In this course, students are introduced to the essential stages and processes used in an executive coaching engagement. Students will focus on coaching conversations, the stages of coaching -- entering, contracting, assessing, ongoing coaching, concluding the engagement -- among other skills. Emphasis is placed especially on artful listening and questioning, assessing the client’s strengths, needs and coachability, using instrumentation, giving feedback, successfully carrying out ongoing coaching and developing a powerful coaching presence.
