Interdisciplinary and General Studies associate programs are very similar – they are both degrees that are designed to give students a broad foundation of courses. This basis can then be used to further your education in most degree areas.

After earning this degree, you will have a fundamental understanding of college-level math, English, science and history. This degree will give you the skills necessary to obtain an entry-level position in a variety of fields. Or, if a higher degree is in your sights, this degree can easily be applied to almost any bachelor’s program.

Courses that you are likely to encounter include College Algebra, U.S. History, Political Science, and English Literature.
